PUPIL

Pupil · Thursdays 7:30

Would you go on a date with someone you’ve never seen?

One note, torn in two.

You can see a thousand faces and feel nothing. You can meet one person and feel everything.

  1. A short call with us. We ask how you spend a Sunday, not what you look like.
  2. We match two people and write one note: a time, a public place and a scribble. We tear it in half and text each of you your half.
  3. 7:30. The table is booked under Pupil. Bring your half. Names are optional: share yours only if you both want to.
  4. One private question: would you see them again? Two yeses, and we set up date two. A no is never shared.
What does it cost?

Joining is free. You only pay when a date is set, and we’ll always tell you the price before you say yes.

Is it safe?

Every first date is at a public place we book. We never give your date your number, last name or socials; you can swap them yourselves if you both say yes. PUPIL DOES NOT CONDUCT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND SCREENINGS.

Do I have to share my name?

No. Names are optional. A date is name-free only if you both choose that.

Does joining guarantee a date?

No. We only introduce two people when we think it’s right, and we keep each city’s list balanced, so it can take a little while.

Where?

Chicago first. Other cities open one at a time, once their list is balanced.
